Imoro Yahaya obtained a BSc. Agriculture Technology from the University for Development Studies, Tamale and MSc. Fruit Science from the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany. He also has a 3-Years Teacher Certificate (Gbewaah Teacher Training College, Pusiga). He has over 13 years of teaching and research experience in the University for Development Studies. He was a Teaching Assistant (2009 – 2010), Senior Research Assistant (2011 – 2017), Assistant Lecturer (2017 – 2019) and presently a Lecturer in the University for Development Studies. He taught a number of courses at the diploma and undergraduate levels in the University. Some of the courses he has taught include agricultural botany, fruit crops production, industrial crops production, vegetable crops production, principles of horticulture, plant propagation, plant breeding and introduction to genetics. He supervised a number of diploma and undergraduate dissertations. He played a role as internal examiner for Master of Science dissertations in the University. He was a coordinator for seminars in the Department of Horticulture of the University. His research interest areas are mechanisms of fruit growth and development, mechanisms of fruit surface defects as well as plant growth regulators and effects on fruit crops production.
