Background

Frank Anaba is a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry. Mr. Anaba has over 5 years of work experience as a teacher and senior research assistant in UDS. He has 5 refereed article publications and attended several international and local conferences. His teaching covers areas such as Introductory Biochemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Principles of Biochemistry, Medical Biochemistry, Intermediary Metabolism, Bioenergetics, Laboratory Practices and Management. His research interests include synthesis of novel organic and phytochemicals, phytochemical analysis, wound healing potentials of extracts, Drug discovery and design, Enzyme-linked disorders, Biochemical mechanisms in carcinogenesis, Proteomics, metabolomics and molecular basis of diseases. His current professional tagline is “Simplifying biochemical and chemical processes to the understanding of many and to improve upon life”.  He aspires to

1. Provide first-class training and consultancy services to students and clients in the health, industry and bioscience sector.
2. Influence government policies and programmes through cutting-edge research which will lead to the production of bioactive compounds of health and industrial relevance.
